CASA AMELIA
THE AREA

The Area
The area is rural and beautiful. The house sits in a green valley about an hour from the coast, about 30 minutes from the Sibillini mountains and an hour from Assisi in Perugia.
Our closest town is San Ginesio which is a small stone, castellated hilltop town. There are many hilltop towns – all very unspoilt and with beautiful medieval stone architecture.

Sirolo and Numana
(1 hr 20)
The so-called ‘Pearl of the Adriatic,’ Sirolo, located in the heart of the Riviera del Conero, is a picturesque medieval town, amidst the green of Monte Conero and the blue of the Adriatic Sea. Considered such a Pearl, due to its breath-taking scenery and beautiful beaches. Visit the nearby Numana marina
Sirolo is the most attractive town, with a spruce medieval centre and a tree-lined, balcony piazza that teeters high above the sea.

Beaches
The beaches are about an hour away – but the most beautiful ones a little further.
Make this an all-day trip with great food and lovely swimming in the sea.
Drop down to each of the coves. Numana has a fine long beach to the south and is more commercial.

Wine Tasting
On the doorstep are some wonderful vineyards with some fantastic wines at extremely affordable prices… It’s a lovely way to spend an afternoon…
Most vineyards do tasting but you need to book in advance…these are a couple of our favourites

Very near to another wonderful small town – Servigliano – which is a stunning town based around a square with restaurants and cafes…

SIbilini National Park
The other area of outstanding beauty on the doorstep is the SIbilini national park. 30 minutes drive into the mountains to Fiastra lake… it is filled with turquoise glacial water and surrounded by stunning mountains. It’s a great area for mountain biking, hiking or canoeing…
